My name is Matthew and I have degrees from UNI in history education and a Master of Arts Degree in American History. Currently I assist youth in Waterloo go to college through the Upward Bound Program as the Assistant Director. Discussions related to spirituality also interest me. My happy place is being outdoors hunting, fishing, and being in nature. Sports like baseball, football, basketball and soccer I find enjoyable to play and watch. I feel exploration is one of the best ways to learn and I am constantly learning new things. I like puzzle making, arts and crafts, music of all sorts, reading books and talking to people. I enjoy spending time with my wife Sarah and my daughter Hazel playing yard games and swimming. We have been fortunate to have been able to travel, collectively, throughout Europe, Japan, Jamaica, and the United States. We currently attend church at Orchard Hill in Cedar Falls and are looking forward to serving in more active roles in the months to come. I am an easy going person who likes to meet new people and hopefully your loved one will be one.

Endya's Profile

"Life is a beach and every day I am playing in the sand." I believe in enjoying life to the fullest. I am an avid learner and enjoy reading and listening to books. Historical fiction, comedy and a good kid's picture book really hit the spot. I volunteer at our local Community Theater. Being a part of stage productions is still new to me but I have found that I like being in front and behind the scene. My professional background includes working with technology in the library and being a resource in the community. One of the favorite parts of my job includes working with patrons to increase their comfort level with their personal technology. In my free time, I like old movies and enjoy trying new culinary cuisines. By the way, my name is Endya. Pronounced like the country India. I can’t want to tell you about a good book or how to find that book on one or all of your devices.
Turner's Profile

My name is Turner. I'm 27 years old and have 2 beautiful children that love to run my world! I love fishing, gardening, walking, hunting and almost everything outdoors! Playing pool, chess or any activity that allow me to enjoy the company of others I find entertaining. I am young in spirit but old in soul. You would be amazed at the knowledge and interests I have in days gone by. I can talk to anyone about anything and have a really good time.

I volunteer for a lot of different groups/ organizations that focus on the different needs of kids in our community. I coach several sports but my favorite is baseball. In addition to coaching I’m a certified referee for basketball, football and baseball. I'm really into sports but my passion for refereeing comes from seeing the smile on a child's face when he/she scores a basket or makes a touchdown is priceless!! I believe in small acts of kindness, those that cost you nothing but possibly time and a willingness to act, really brighten my day.

I'm a family man first a foremost! The Bible tells us to train a child in the ways you would have them be and when they get older they will not depart. When my daughter or son come home and tell me how they remembered to hold the door open for the person coming behind them or said please and thank you, makes me feel like I'm doing my part as a father. I know that being away from family or knowing that your loved one is not in your care can be difficult. Let me help ease some of that burden by being a companion for your loved one.

Dina's Profile

My name is Dina and I am a Waterloo native who strives for balance in a world that at times really felt like its sole purpose was to trip me up. I took those experiences and made them lessons to help other people. I have made working with youth my mission and I have found that preventative structures in the community work best to overcome potential barriers and create pathways towards a healthy lifestyle. What I model for my clients in the community I also practices at home with my teenaged son. Spirituality, meditation and writing are daily practices that keep me ground, focused and determined to maintain my integrity, morals and values. When the weather permits, I like kayaking, swimming, long walks, hikes, zip lining, and exploring new things. I love to learn and appreciate intellectual conversations on topics regarding local and national new; books about self-help, social justice, history and poetry; music and food; and various places around the world I have travelled or hope to travel one day. Personal growth-my own and others-is something I am very passionate about. My goal in working with any person or group is to ensure their voice is heard and the feel both respected and accepted for who they are. I hope I have the opportunity to give that experience to your loved one.
Indonesia's Profile

My name is Indonesia. Just like the country. I’m a third year student at University of Northern Iowa. My major is Studio Art with an emphasis in Painting. Fine Art in Printmaking is the degree I am working towards with a minor in Art History. I believe that through art people can truly express parts of themselves that escape common language and find a level of peace that only art can create. For instance, a change of color can change your mood from stressed to relaxed. I love sharing the gift of art with others. I enjoy reading; writing and watching the beauty of nature unfold from season to season. I love all animals and think they are beautiful beings. I love meeting new people and getting to know who they are. I find that laughter is the best medicine. It is said to lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and a way to enjoy yourself and with others. I’m always looking for my next adventure no matter how big or how small. For me the adventure is being curious about what’s around the corner, a question I have never asked or a conversation that gives me new insight. I hope I will find new wisdom and friendship getting to know your loved one through laughs and creating beautiful art.
