​Question 1:  Why was Trusted Companion Services Inc. developed?
Answer:  Trusted Companion Services founders saw a need that was not being met and sought a solution aimed at alleviating the guilt and concern family members feel regarding the isolation their loved ones experience residing in care facilities.  In your absence, our Trusted Companions will visit and spend time and interact with your loved one to ensure they are engaged and participating in daily activities, thereby ensuring your loved one is living life to its fullest.  
​Question 2:  Why should I use Trusted Companion Services, Inc.?
Answer:  Although our customers try really hard to visit and spend time with their love one they find it hard to visit on a regular basis. Families are often riddled with guilt and concerned about their loved one being confined to a care facility such as a nursing home.
​Question 3:  What are the qualifications of the Trusted Companions?
Answer:  Our Trusted Companions are qualified individuals with a sincere interest in serving aged and disabled individuals. All Trusted Companions receive training regarding best practices related to providing services to individuals residing in care facilities, the elderly and people with special needs. Each Trusted Companion is assessed to ensure their oral and written skills are effective. The majority of our Trusted Companions will have had previous work experience related to nursing or care facility. All of our Trusted Companions are engaged in ongoing training and work under highly trained supervisors. 
​Question 4:  Are background checks completed on the Trusted Companions?
Answer:  Yes, pre-employment and annual background and fingerprint checks are completed on all of our Trusted Companions and supervising staff.
​Question 5:  Do your Trusted Companions provide any daily living or care giving services?
Answer:  No, our Trusted Companions do not provide daily living or care giving services. All cares giving services are provided by the facility staff. 
​Question 6:  Will I be able to interview and select the Trusted Companion who will be working with my loved one?
Answer:  Yes, you can interview and select a Trusted Companion from our online profile panel of Trusted Companions. From there, you may arrange a time to talk with the Trusted Companion via the telephone. If you are in agreement, you may then authorize the Trusted Companion visit. Of course your loved one must also agree with the engagement and the Trusted Companion. We suggest that you check with your loved one periodically to see if he/she is satisfied with his/her Trusted Companion. You may change Trusted Companions at any time. However, we caution that frequent changes in companions may add a degree of confusion for your love one at a time when they require structure in their lives. 
​Question 7:  Where will the visits occur?
Answer:  All visits will be held at your loved one’s care facility. Because of liability issues, our associates are not allowed to transport your loved one. However, they will be able to provide optional Concierge Services listed below.
​Question 8:  Will I receive a report on each visit?
Answer:  Upon the completion of each visit, our Trusted Companion will enter their visit note. You may review the note on the Trusted Companion Services website.  

​Question 9:  What services do you provide?
Answer:  Trusted Companion Services offers a large number of resources and tools to support families looking after loved ones. As a Trusted Companion, he/she will serve as an extension of your family to provide much needed companion services for your loved ones in care. Trusted Companion Services offers several methods of connecting family members to one another, using the latest technology. As a payer of the services, you will be able to manage all services through the Trusted Companions Services website. Through the website, payers will be able schedule and view upcoming visits, view notes and comments entered by the Trusted Companion, and request Concierge Services for their loved one. We offer two types of services, the first is a Standard Service and the second is a Concierge Service. 
​Question 10:  What are the charges for your Standards and Concierge Services?
Answer:  The Standard Services charge is $100 per a 60 minute companion visit. The Standard Service charges must be must be prepaid. Charges for concierge services vary by service. Please refer to the Services page to see those prices. Standard service may include all or some of the following services: 

    1. Conversational engagements
    2. Letter writing
    3. Playing games
    4. Creative expression
    5. Reading
    6. Watching movies/television
    7. Assisting with telephone calls 
    8. Skyping

Concierge Services are considered cost plus services. On special occasion when you want to express your love, our Associate can provide the following services: 

    1. Picking up and deliver gifts
    2. Picture taking and sorting
    3. Scrapbooking
    4. Gift services
    5. Recording
​Question 11:  Can I pay by credit card? 
Answer:  Yes, we accept Credit Card payments as well as Paypal. However, please remember that all payments must be made in advanced. To assist our payers, you may also pay for a block of visits or services in advance.
​Question 12:  Can I make payments online? 
Answer:  Yes, payments can be made via our secured website.
​Question 13:  Are any of your service covers through Medicaid?
Answer:  No, all services provided by Trusted Companion Services are private pay services.
​Question 14:  Can I make changes to the services I order?
Answer:  Yes, Trusted Companion Services standard services can be cancelled 24 hours prior to the appointment.  Any concierge services that are ordered may be cancelled only if the gift or service have not been purchased.  Any products ordered and purchased which are returnable, will be subject to any applicable return service charges.
​Question 15:  Who can add or reduce services?
Answer:  The family member who initially ordered the services or payee is the only individuals who can add or remove services. If the client request additional services the request will be shared with the family member or payee for approval.
